This professionally accredited diploma is the final stage in your core training and prepares you to work ethically and effectively as a qualified counsellor.
With 360 hours of face-to-face training over two years and 100 hours of supervised placement, this course blends rich theoretical learning with practical experience to help you become the counsellor you want to be.

Rooted in Person-Centred theory, the course also introduces you to Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural models, supporting you to develop a coherent, personalised counselling approach.

Self-awareness and reflective practice

Placement-based client work and supervision
Assessment is varied and includes reflective journals, group work, professional discussions, client logs, supervisor reports, and a final research project.

Counselling Practitioner Diploma (Level 4 equivalent) has been given Accredited training recognition by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and, subject to their Terms & Conditions, is a route onto a national register of counsellors which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority
