✅ PREVENT awareness and your responsibilities under current guidance
✅ What happens after you report a concern—can you escalate or follow up?

Blocks to Safeguarding

Overcoming Biases, Assumptions & Fears in Client Risk
With Catherine Drewer | 3-hour CPD session

Safeguarding isn't just about legislation—it's about the real-world decisions we make, and what might get in the way of making them well.

This reflective CPD workshop is ideal for practitioners who have already completed our Safeguarding Legislation session and want to go deeper. We’ll explore the often-unseen personal and professional blocks that can influence our responses to client risk.

Through guided discussion and shared insight, you will:
✅ Identify personal biases and unconscious assumptions that may affect safeguarding decisions
✅ Explore fears and internal hesitations that can delay or prevent action
✅ Build awareness and confidence to respond clearly, ethically, and protectively

Strengthening your safeguarding practice means understanding not only what to do—but also what might stop you from doing it.
